is it safe in Mamelodi?

Mamelodi is a pretty safe township before 10pm. Most that goes on is people walking around,people drinking and smoking, and people at work. I wouldn't say it is safe for a white person to walk around there for a whole day. Mamelodi has much dust which isn't good. Some places are clean but most aren't. After 10o'clock People are drunk they do all sorts of things. Some of the people drink all day in Mamelodi. Is it safe for a white person to walk in mamelodi? out of ten i would say a 5 because allot of people in Mamelodi don't like the whites.

About Mamelodi

Mamelodi is a black township with a population of over a millon. some live in brick houses but most live in shacks. I hear people tell me when it is rainning and stormy there is mud everywhere. They even say that sometimes they had to hold their shack down to keep it from blowing away. Mamelodi needs your help. The population grows everyday. Squatters (people who move in on someone elses land) try to do as much as they can to survive. People starve. The kids there love soccer. But there is no encouragement for them. With school some kids dont like school they just play soccer. There are some amazing athletes in Mamelodi. This one man came in the top 3 of a big race and he was going to get sponsored and be a millon air but he didn't know how to speak english. So he couldn't talk to the people. True story. These kids can't just rely on soccer because if they make it onto a team and in the first month he gets a injury and no team will accept him he will have to start his whole life over again. Be a encouagement for the
 kids and help these kids.

Bridgetocross has just had their first kids from their programs come in for homework help. Bridgetocross allows the kids to learn but in a fun way. The teachers love helping the kids and are exited about what God is doing. God has opened many doors and has helped the family in the hard time. Starting out living the American dream in the beautiful California near the Lagoona Beach to coming back to South Africa to love on the unloved and help the kids of the township of Mamelodi located in the North eastern part of Pretoria. Over a millon live in Mamelodi and allot suffer from diseases like HIV/AIDS which has orphaned many children. Bridgetocross is a Non-profit organization Helping the kids in homework and having programs such as sport,music,arts, and education.
